Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about safety, where your wallets are saved, prices, and what to do if something looks wrong.
Is Kist safe to use?
Watching an address is read-only: Kist reads public data and can't move anything. When you connect a wallet, every transaction still has to be approved by you in your own wallet app. Kist never asks for your recovery phrase or private keys, and anyone who does isn't Kist.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your list of wallets is saved in your browser on your device.
Why don’t my wallets show on my other phone or computer?
Because they're saved in the browser you added them in. Add them again on the other device; it only takes a moment with Watch address.
What does “unpriced” mean?
The token or asset has no reliable market price, so Kist shows how much you hold but leaves it out of the dollar value rather than guessing.
My balance or an NFT looks wrong. What should I do?
Tap Full refresh on the dashboard, or Refresh NFTs on the NFTs tab. For a single NFT, open it and tap Refresh metadata. If it's still wrong, please report it on X to @SimpleSimon872.
Which chains does Kist support?
Avalanche (C-Chain), Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and Base. See Supported chains.
Does Kist show staking or liquidity pool positions?
Not yet; they're on the list. Tokens you receive for staking on these chains show up like any other token.
Can I track a wallet I don’t own?
Yes. Wallet addresses and their holdings are public, so you can watch any address. Untick it on the wallets screen if you don't want it in your total.
