Privacy Policy

Kist has no accounts. Your wallets, settings and portfolio data are stored in your browser, not on our servers. We never ask for recovery phrases or private keys, we don’t sell data and we don’t run ads.

Who we are

Kist (openkist.app) is built and run by Simon (@SimpleSimon872), an individual based in Western Australia.

What stays on your device

The wallet addresses you add and their nicknames, your settings, your cached portfolio data and a log of when data was loaded. These are kept in your browser’s local storage.

You can delete them at any time in Settings → Clear Cache or Full Nuke, or by clearing your browser data. Nothing carries over to another device or browser.

What leaves your device, and why

To show balances, prices and NFTs, Kist has to send the wallet addresses you add to data providers.

Called directly from your browser: DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, Routescan, Blockscout and an exchange-rate service.

Called through Kist’s servers (hosted on Cloudflare, so our API keys stay private): Blockscout, OpenSea, Alchemy, Avalanche’s Glacier API, Salvor, NodeFlare, CoinGecko and Pinata. Our servers pass these requests through and may cache responses in memory for a few minutes. They don’t keep a record of which addresses you look up.

Each provider handles requests under its own privacy policy.

Wallet connections and swaps

When you connect a wallet, the connection runs through WalletConnect (Reown). Kist never sees or stores your private keys, and every transaction is reviewed and signed in your own wallet.

Swaps are quoted and routed by Li.Fi, which receives the addresses, tokens and amounts involved. Blockchain transactions are public and permanent: neither Kist nor anyone else can delete them.

Analytics

Kist uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t follow you across other websites.

We also use Google Search Console, which reports how Kist appears in Google search results. It doesn’t collect anything from your visit.

Cloudflare, which hosts Kist, may log technical information such as IP addresses to keep the service running and secure.

Public data

Wallet addresses and their holdings are public information on blockchains. Adding an address to Kist doesn’t create any record on-chain.

Age

Kist is not intended for anyone under 18.
